Hello ladies and gents. I'm a 24 year army purple heart veteran. When my four kids were growing up, I took them to as many hands on history sites as I could find. Going to reenactments of Civil War, WW 1, and WW2. My oldest daughter got her Masters degree in Museum Administration. I guess some of my love of history rubbed off. Anyway, she is married to an active duty US sailor. They happen to be currently stationed on Guam. She and I are putting together a project to create a hands on environment on Guam. Our plan is to put together four sets of uniforms.
1) US MC rifleman 2) US Navy Corpsman 3) IJA NCO 4) IJA rifleman
All of my time serving has been in the army. Before I begin to seek financing, I need to research the correct uniform and equipment bits that will be required. We will not be including firearms. Not that we are against them, but there are several already being displayed at the NPS Visitor Center. I would like to identify quality reproduction suppliers for the items. While searching the internet for Navy Corpsman, I found your forum. Particularly a post by PhM3/c Bowers appeared to be a subject matter expert. In my personal wounding experience, the doc who took care of mestill has my highest regard. I need to get the Corpsman kit right. If any of you can contribute ideas for any of the listed four above, I would be most grateful. Thank you, ~scott

Scott,
This forum is pretty dead. I'd suggest you go over to the WWII forums and try there. Basic kit: USMC HBTs, with/without pocket logo. Rough out boots. Leggings, dumped early and quickly. Pistol Belt with two canteens, .45 holster, ammo pouch. USMC helmet and camo cover. Corpsmans pouches, see At The Front .com for pics. Or Corpmans bag, WWII imp.com for pics. White or green USMC T shirt. USMC peaked HBT cap. Pack etc, go to ATF and have a look at his uniform package for Navy Corpsman.
That should start you off.
