I'll just throw this out as a general inquiry... Do you think there would be any interest in reenacting the Korean war?
There's already a Yahoogroup and Proboard forum... What do you think???

I wouldn't mind it. After I get done with the long line of impressions in front of it.

I've done a few displays and we are looking at doing a KW Air Force impression too.

When I have done KW I have found most people go into it with the WW2 part II notion in their head. This means they show up in outdated inauthentic uniforms, incredibly farby rations, and more. Then they often screw up in the research department thinking that the Army and USMC used the same version of things when they didn't(The USMC Cold Weather Parka is the only correct parka for USMC at Chosin, the US Army M1948 Parka is farb) or they use late war items that never saw use or if they did were extremely limited and relegated to certain units. That is not even getting into the if you are doing a impression from 1952-1953 and you are not wearing a flak, then you are pretty much incorrect. Cool time period that should be done more but very few people do it correctly.

AF impression for the summer on the flightline is the 2nd pattern HBT coveralls with AF stripes either sewn or stenciled on, an A-3 cap or a 45 cap, capped toes garrison boots (dyed black late in the war).
