WHO ARE WE?
Welcome to the Imperial Japanese Army 8th Shidan (Division) Recruiting table! We are a formal Imperial Japanese Army Reenactment Unit, dedicated historians, and ultimately people that like to have fun at historical events! We are dedicated to portraying the Imperial Japanese Army!
The 8th Shidan is loyal to the idea that history is history no matter what side is served and that we all have something to gain from knowing both sides of the story. We strive for authenticity and history events to inform the educate everyone from school children to war vets to any open minds willing to learn. We will educate you on authentic methods in everything from cooking to survival to rifle care to maintaining your uniform. The 8th has even participated on a 3 day wilderness excursion using survival methods found in original methods and accounts.
