The 24th Shidan is actively recruiting members from the IL, IN, MI area. We're an authenticity-minded Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) unit looking for recruits interested in portraying a "standard" infantry unit. Our unit hosts a yahoogroup as well as a website and has a good reputation here in the midwest.
