I just got started doing marine. My impression is going to be a generic mid war BC-1000 radio operator. Im working with some friends to nail down what we want to do as far as a regiment and campaign. any suggestions?

I'd keep it general. If you want to primarily do one unit, that's cool, but there are so few USMC reenactments, you don't want to restrict yourself by portraying only one unit/campaign/timeframe. I usually do a 1st MarDiv thing but I would happily portray, for Example, 5th MarDiv for an Iwo Jima event. Where are you located?

One of the usual suspects. Primarily portraying a Corpsman in the 28th Marines at Iwo.

Have many WWII USMC impressions from 1941-1946. My favorite impressions to do are 4th Marines Philippines; 2nd, 5th, 7th, or 8th Marines on Guadalcanal; 2nd Marines on Tarawa; and 5th Marines on Okinawa. I mostly do basic rifleman though occasionally I'll also do BAR Gunner. Unfortunately I haven't been able to pull out my USMC Impression in a while.

1st Marine Defense Battalion, Wake Island.
I have the full kit, but couldn't make Reading last year, here's hoping for less weekend work in 2013.

Kind of new to USMC reenacting. My main impression is WWII Heer. I'm aiming for a 1942-1943 impression. Have to re buy alot of the gear I sold off a few years ago. I belong to a PTO group in Tejas.
